Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh
What keeps guests coming back again and again?
Picture this: a stunning Arabian palace, glowing under the warm sun all year round, framed by nearly 3,000 palm trees. The horizon stretches into shimmering waves of the Red Sea. Sounds like the perfect setting for a new Disney fairytale, right? This magical place is none other than Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh. What makes it a "destination within a destination" to so many travelers? We spoke to the hotel’s representative to find out.

CREATING PRECIOUS MEMORIES
Our guests come from all over the world — primarily families and couples from Europe, the USA, and the Gulf countries. Many of them return year after year, and we are honored to be part of their most cherished life moments. Together we celebrate significant milestones: engagements, weddings, and welcoming and watching their children grow.
Juan Reyna, Director of Marketing, Four Seasons Resort Sharm el-Sheikh
I believe that for travelers — especially those seeking luxury experiences and personalization — it’s no longer enough to be impressed by décor or menus alone. Comfort consists of hundreds of little things and is only tangible when they turn into an authentic, thoughtful experience.
HOSPITALITY AS AN ART FORM
Do you know how the desert teaches one to observe and discern nuances — the direction of the wind, the rustle of sand atop dunes, the shade of the sky? In the same way, we strive to notice the needs of our guests and act promptly. Ideally, even before they ask.
Once, Four Seasons was among the first to place bottles of shampoo in guest rooms and to increase the size of soap bars to a more practical dimension. The chain introduced plasma TVs and spacious walk-in closets. For years, the brand has consistently invested in top-quality mattresses — so comfortable that Julia Roberts praised them on Oprah’s show, and Oprah agreed.* At the Sharm el-Sheikh property, even the beach loungers are topped with thick mattresses, ensuring you won’t need to keep shifting to find a comfortable position.
Service, quality standards… I’d say it’s about delivering on promises and going the extra mile. And here, in Sharm el Sheikh, these principles are embodied with even greater sincerity — because the deep-rooted nature of Arabic hospitality is at the core of our team.
LOCAL CHARM WITH A MODERN TOUCH
Our hotel is considered one of the largest in the Four Seasons portfolio, offering perhaps the widest range of rooms (289) and suites (12 different types!) of any in the area. If you’re planning a family celebration or a getaway with friends, I recommend taking a closer look at our villas and signature multi-bedroom suites. Imagine leisurely morning chats on the terrace, some in the shade, others basking in the sun… And a visit to the spa would be a must. After the treatments, your skin and hair would feel hydrated and silky, like Cleopatra’s!
The beachfront stretches for a full kilometer, surrounded by lush grounds that are especially breathtaking when the gardens are covered, almost like by clouds, in vibrant blooms of bougainvillea, known as “paper flowers”. Local charm is everywhere: the Eastern-style domes on the rooftops, mosaic fountains, arched windows, and intricate mashrabiya patterns. The interiors echo the exterior’s theme, with calming blue tones that remind you of the Red Sea and rich beige textures evoking the soft, golden sand.
This is a unique destination for Egypt: you can spend your entire vacation within the resort without a single moment of boredom, or venture out anytime to explore shops and cultural landmarks.
MY DREAM DAY
I’d stay in one of the 12 suites with private pools. In the morning, I’d definitely go for a run — catching the sunrise over Tiran Island, soaking in the views of the mountains and the sparkling sea. Our guests often hold celebrations in the Royal Palm Garden, but early in the day, it’s almost meditative there.
On weekends, I love snorkeling right by our “house” reef. Our diving center also offers access to more than 76 world-class dive sites — you can even book a yacht to explore the Red Sea. For tips, I’d turn to our head concierge. Ahmed Nazmy, a member of Les Clefs d’Or, the professional association of hotel concierges with only about 4,000 members worldwide, always knows the best way to experience Sharm el-Sheikh, on land or sea.
If I don’t feel like venturing out, I can always host a glamorous party delivered to me. Our chefs would prepare and serve delicious treats on the terrace, while an experienced DJ sets the dance vibes near the pool.
But if I’m in the mood for exploring, I’d head to bohemian Dahab, just an hour’s drive from the hotel. In the surrounding area, near the Bedouin village of Saint Catherine, there’s a chance to see the ancient monastery, climb one of the Sinai peaks — or even scale Mount Moses — and visit one of the world’s oldest continuously operating libraries, which is high on my favorites list.
After the adventures, it’s time for one of the 12 restaurants, lounges, or bars. The options range from Italian, Levantine, Pan-Asian, Latin American, and Middle Eastern cuisines to many others. Our talented chefs are always updating the menus, mixing ingredients… Which is why I run every morning! On a whim, I might choose the signature Japanese restaurant Yatai, the Mediterranean Bullona… or a romantic dinner by the shore.
LITTLE VERY IMPORTANT PERSONS
When parents need some time for themselves, they can leave their kids at our complimentary kids’ club or book the services of a professional babysitter. At Four Seasons, little ones are true VIPs. They have access to a full schedule of creative activities and sports games, while teenagers can enjoy extra adventures organized by our concierge: quad biking in the desert, full-day cruises, or cultural and educational activities.
FOR THE WINTER HOLIDAYS
The hotel is already brimming with a winter wonderland atmosphere: one majestic Christmas tree stands tall in the lobby, while another graces the backdrop of the Red Sea and gardens. The kids’ club features a festive program with treats, meetings with Santa, workshops, and games. At the Citadel Lounge, a market fills the air with the aroma of panettone and mulled wine. On Christmas Eve, we are planning a traditional Christmas buffet under the starlit sky at Zitouni. So don’t hesitate — come and join us!
