  • Today, we’re sharing with you a fantastic “to-do list” guide that will allow you to feel the entire atmosphere of Tenerife and choose the best adventures that you might have initially missed. We assure you, this is an island where everyone will find something special. Shall we explore all its possibilities together?

TELL ME ABOUT TENERIFE

Tenerife is very special. It’s a place where you want to dance under the gentle sun, plunge into the ocean’s blue waters, feel the light salty breeze, and enjoy life while savoring delicious dishes in a seaside restaurant with white and red wine from local vineyards.

Conquer mountain routes, marvel at the contrasts of black volcanic and white sandy beaches, try your hand at surfing, stroll through the island’s streets, where every stone has its own story, admire the beauty around while cycling, and, of course, meet the locals who know how to charge you with their energy.

Such a rich, harmonious combination of flavors and impressions leaves no one indifferent. And there are still many more of these little gems because every time you return to the Canaries, you discover a piece of something new, pleasant, and unforgettable.

“Island of Eternal Spring”

Is how Tenerife is called for its consistently good weather with almost no rain. The air temperature during the day never drops below +22–24°C even in winter, and the water temperature ranges from +19 to +24°C. Just what you need for a comfortable vacation!

TO-DO LIST FOR ADVENTURE SEEKERS

Get ready with comfortable shoes because, with so many adventures, you’ll want to explore the entire island! And a good mood is guaranteed! Let’s:
Listen to the sounds of a cave that’s over 27,000 years old. The Wind Cave — Cueva Del Viento, the fifth-longest in the world (18 km) — conceals lava stalactites, lakes, waterfalls, and lateral terraces. Streams of wind constantly wander through, creating a mysterious, elusive sound.

  • Dive into aquatic fun. The largest water park on the island, Siam Park, is already waiting for its tourists. A transparent tube 28 meters high passing through an aquarium with sharks and other fish, surfing on three-meter waves, various pools, children’s areas, animation, and the “Mai Tai” river flowing through the entire park — the choice there is simply enormous!

  • Take a photo with the world’s largest dragon tree. This dragon tree has grown to a height of 18 meters, and the diameter of its crown is about 20 meters! The tree is likely over 700 years old, making it the oldest on the island.

  • Feel the touch of black volcanic sand on the beaches of Benijo, Teresitas, and Las-Teresitas. Combined with pebbles, what could be better than a natural stone massage?

  • Try wine of the “Malvasia” variety. Tenerife is one of the few places on Earth where ancient grape varieties have been preserved, including this gastronomic symbol of the island.

  • Arrange an unforgettable diving experience. Among the abandoned ports (El Valito, Alcalá), caves (Cueva De Los Cerebros, Cueva De Los Camarones Palm Mar), underwater volcanic mountains (Montaña Amarilla, El Pinque, Barranco Seco), and shipwrecks (Tabaiba).

  • Witness an unusual sunset. While it’s a classic at any resort, have you ever observed this spectacle while bathing in volcanic pools that almost merge with the ocean? The port town of Garachico invites you to try it!

  • Attend a show at the Colosseum Hall? Spanish flamenco is never as passionate as it is in its homeland. Did you know that there is a whole science that studies flamenco? It’s called flamencology, and its study began in 1957 after the release of the book by González Clemente.

  • Go shopping for souvenirs for loved ones and update our wardrobe at Centro Comercial The Duke Shops, which was chosen as the travelers’ choice for 2023 according to Tripadvisor. A modern shopping center featuring many local Spanish brands and international ones like Calvin Klein, Guess, Superdry, Bellisima, Armani Exchange, and Levis.

  • Recall childhood when we all wanted to step into a fairy tale for a moment. Why not — the San Miguel Castle awaits tourists with a magical atmosphere of the medieval era, which they will experience during a festive dinner along with an energetic knight tournament.

  • Catch a wave of relaxation amid the incredible nature of the Anaga Biosphere Reserve. There you’ll find laurel forests, enchanting trails that make you want to get lost, and over 120 species of birds.

  • See the world’s largest penguinarium and giant killer whales. Loro Park awaits tourists of all ages because it undoubtedly has more to captivate attention.

  • Visit local villages and see how the locals live. Perhaps they will show you how to make homemade goat cheese and honey, and even invite you to a delicious dinner.

  • Climb to the top of the volcano. Not everyone can get such memories in their lifetime. Majestic Mount Teide — the highest peak in Spain — has been desired to conquer by many travelers. Will you be one of them?

  • Try Papas arrugadas. It’s sweet young potatoes boiled in a kilogram of salt until all the water evaporates. Add an unusual blue wine, made exclusively from grapes without dyes, and you’re in for a treat.

  • Count the stars. If you dare to embark on the previous adventure, also visit the world’s largest observatory on Teide, where you can observe 83 out of 88 officially recognized constellations at night. It’s one of the top three places on the planet to stargaze!

  • Go to the mysterious pyramids in the village of Güímar. According to one version, they were created by the ancient Guanche civilization. Interesting fact: on the day of the solstice, you can witness a remarkable phenomenon here — the sun appears to set twice.

  • Touch a bit of history. The first church on the island, the Church of the Holy Cross, is now the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary. The city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife was named after this sanctuary.

  • Taste Tiras-de-Cazón. These are strips of meat from a small species of shark, salted and dried — for those who want to try something truly exotic from the Canarian cuisine.

  • Head to the island of three hundred volcanoes. Lanzarote has about 30% of its territory covered in ash, combining with beautiful landscapes, succulents, soils of incredible shades, vineyards in the middle of the desert, hidden lagoons, bays, and cliffs. A great place to capture some truly otherworldly photos amid these rare landscapes!
